Adaptation in the Age of AI

We are the first generation whose daily tools include systems that learn faster than we do.

Most responses to AI fall into one of two extremes:

1. Panic — the fear that everything meaningful will be automated away.
2. Delegation — the temptation to let the machine think so we do not have to.

Homo Adapticus looks for a third path:

Use AI to amplify attention, not replace it.

Use models to run more experiments, not to abdicate responsibility.
